What to expect
Once a treatment plan has been made, a golden concoction of injectables is created by your doctor or nurse customised to your skin type and personal skin concerns. Patients experience little to no pain as this treatment is less invasive, and treatment areas can be prepped with a topical numbing agent before AQUAGOLD Fine Touch is used on the skin.
The device itself contains 20 micro-channel needles thinner than a strand of human hair and made of gold-plated stainless steel. This surgical grade stainless steel provides structural integrity of the micro-channelling needles, whilst the 24ct gold-plating delivers anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-aging benefits to the skin.
During the treatment, the device will penetrate the skin’s protective outer layers to access the middle layer of the skin, known as the dermis, where injectable treatments can reach the body’s blood circulation system. As the AQUAGOLD Fine Touch is passed over the treatment area, thousands of micro-infusion sites are made in the skin where dermal treatments are injected before the skin can heal.
AQUAGOLD Fine Touch is generally performed around the face, neck, eyes, décolletage, and back of the hands, and can take roughly 45 minutes to complete.
Things to consider
Immediately after treatment, patients may experience redness on their face resembling a mild sunburn which is normal.
To fully benefit from an AQUAGOLD Fine Touch treatment and experience the best results, it is recommended patients follow these post-treatment guidelines:
- Avoid wearing makeup for roughly 12 hours after treatment
- Refrain from washing your face the day of treatment
- Avoid direct sun exposure immediately after treatment
- Avoid exercise for 24 hours afterwards to lessen any irritation
