Trying everything to get rid of your wrinkles? Consider Plasma Hair Restoration as the natural therapy for you and your ageing skin.
This treatment utilises the power of platelet-rich plasma from your blood to rejuvenate your skin, target areas of ageing, and leave you feeling smooth and youthful.
This process separates your red blood cells from your plasma, to create a highly concentrated plasma, known as platelet-rich plasma or Plasma Hair Restoration. This therapy then takes your plasma’s healing properties and stimulates the growth of new tissue to combat signs of ageing. This procedure is recommended for those looking to increase their collagen and elastin production in areas such as the face where ageing is more visible.

Platelet-rich plasma is a treatment that utilises the plasma in your blood to stimulate your skin and address the texture and the health of your collagen tissue. A small amount of your blood is extracted and through the process of centrifugation, a process where the blood is spun around to separate its elements, the plasma is separated from the blood itself.
To regenerate new tissue, the plasma is then injected into areas of skin that are known to prematurely age. The platelet-rich plasma activates the muscles, nerves, and elasticity of the skin and stimulates collagen growth. Platelet-rich plasmas contain high levels of platelets (9 billion platelets per treatment) and mononuclear cells so when injected into tissue, growth factors are released. This procedure can be used to stimulate hair growth and tighten the skin on the face, hand and neck, among the multitude of uses this treatment has in the cosmetic industry.
This is a great treatment for clients wanting a natural appearance as Platelet-rich plasma aids tissue growth and collagen stimulation. Before the procedure, your doctor will apply an anaesthetic cream to the area that is being treated. The Doctor will draw a syringe of blood, most likely from the arm, and will then put it into a centrifuge. This machine is designed to extract the Plasma in a safe, clinical manner: it will separate the red blood cells and the plasma so it can be of use. The Plasma Hair Restoration solution will then be injected into the skin in the area of treatment that requires tissue remodelling and rejuvenation. Once this procedure is done your doctor may provide balm to the area if needed and you will receive information on aftercare.

Something to take into consideration is that the platelet-rich plasma treatment can involve bruising and swelling for up to a few days after the procedure. It is recommended that the timing of the procedure should be considered so that you can adequately heal and avoid places you wouldn’t feel comfortable attending in case of bruising and swelling.
It is possible for makeup to be worn over the treatment area straight after the therapy. UV protection is also an essential part of aftercare to avoid unwanted pigmentation of the skin. To help protect the barrier of the skin after the treatment, adequate hydration is recommended. It should be noted that whilst each person reacts differently to platelet-rich plasma, skin can appear red and tender after the procedure and remain hot and tender for 24-48 hours after the procedure.
Prior to Plasma Hair Restoration treatments it recommended that you look after your body and allow space between other procedures. Before your Plasma Hair Restoration treatment, drink a minimum of one litre of water the evening before and morning of the procedure (this does not include tea, coffee and soft drinks).
Make sure you allow one week after a long flight so you’re not jet-lagged and dehydrated prior to your treatment. If you have difficult veins please inform your physician as you may not be a candidate for treatment. It is recommended that you have no dermal fillers or botox for 2 weeks either side of the procedure as this would interfere with the results of either procedure.
It is recommended to explain to your physician about what medications you take as some nutritional products and blood thinners will cause bruising if Plasma Hair Restoration treatments are completed whilst taking them.
Plasma Hair Restoration uses your own blood and therefore you are using your own natural resources to repair, benefit and improve your overall skin.
Each case is different however it is recommended that after 3 or more procedures you will start to notice some improvement in your treatment area.
One Platelet-Rich Plasma session costs $1000 or a package of 4 sessions costs $3200.
Results vary for each person however it can take up to 30 days to see results and 90 days for further improvement to occur throughout the treatment.
