Consultation
We look at your skin, talk about your goals and check that CoolPeel is right for you.
Numbing
On the day, we apply numbing cream to keep you comfortable.
Treatment
Your clinician moves the laser over your skin in quick, gentle pulses. You may feel warmth and a light prickling.
Recovery
Your skin may look like mild sunburn for 1 to 3 days and feel a little dry or flaky as fresh skin comes through.

What to expect
At your consultation, your clinician will look at your skin, talk about your goals and check that CoolPeel is right for you. On the day, we apply numbing cream first. During treatment you may feel warmth and a light prickling. Afterwards, your skin will look flushed, a bit like mild sunburn.
CoolPeel Cost in Melbourne
CoolPeel starts from $550 for a full-face treatment. Because results build over time, we also offer a course of four treatments for $1,999 (usually $2,200). Every CoolPeel treatment also includes a complimentary post-treatment mask valued at $59.
Your consultation costs $50, and this comes off your treatment if you go ahead.
Things to consider & aftercare
For 1 to 3 days, your skin may be red, warm, dry or a little flaky. During this time:
- Keep your skin clean and moisturised
- Don’t pick or scrub flaky skin
- Hold off on active skincare, like retinol, until your clinician says it’s okay
- Wear SPF50+ every day and stay out of the sun as much as you can
We will give you full aftercare instructions on the day.
Side effects
Most people have some redness, warmth, mild swelling, dryness or flaking. These usually settle within a few days. Like any laser treatment, there’s a small chance of other side effects, such as changes in skin colour, a cold sore flare-up or infection. Your clinician will go through these with you at your consultation.

What should I do before my CoolPeel treatment?
Your clinician may ask you to:
- Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning or fake tan before treatment
- Stop retinol and other active skincare for a short time beforehand
- Tell us if you get cold sores, as you may need medication to prevent a flare-up
- Come in with clean skin and no makeup
