How it works
Patients will first have a consultation with one of our highly skilled clinicians, where you will discuss your current skin condition, type, and the concerns you wish to address. You may also need to discuss any other cosmetic treatments you may have undergone recently, your medical history, and whether you have any known allergies.
Your skin will then be analysed to create your personalised Universkin serum. There are over 1000 formula combinations that can be made, meaning it will be compounded explicitly to your skin type and concerns for a bespoke serum that contains high-quality pharmaceutical ingredients that harmonise perfectly with your skin.
The S.TEP by Universkin device will administer your customised serum in the treated areas, including the eyes, neck, decolletage, forehead, cheeks, and lip area. Through this micro-exfoliation process, the skin will absorb the serum’s pure active ingredients faster and more efficiently for optimal results. Patients will then be given the remaining amount of their bespoke serum to use at home in conjunction with their regular skincare routine in-between treatment sessions.

Your bespoke Universkin serum will contain specific active ingredients proven to target your skin’s type and concerns, along with a concoction of other pharmaceutical-grade ingredients. These components include hyaluronic acid, which is optimised to maintain the proper functioning of cell renewal, a unique combination of four peptides to keep your skin’s physiological balance, and organic camelina oil to help the skin produce anti-inflammatory compounds.
Patients will experience smoother and tighter skin, with a reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improved skin texture, removing skin irregularities such as acne scarring, sun damage, and age spots.
What to expect
One of our clinicians will analyse your skin to allow your personalised Universkin serum to be formulated on-site. Once complete, your skin will be cleansed and prepped for the treatment. If patients are concerned about their comfort during the treatment, we offer the option of numbing cream to be applied beforehand. The S.TEP device is then used on your chosen treatment areas, dispensing the serum in a vertical stamp-like technique to ensure the skin is stimulated and the serum delivered into the skin’s deeper layers. The treatment takes roughly 30 minutes to complete, and once finished, a combination of Universkin products will be used as a mask to soothe and hydrate the skin. Please be aware that if patients opt for numbing cream, the treatment will take longer than 30 minutes to allow the cream to work.
You will then be given the rest of your custom serum to use at home for one month between treatments. You will need to use your serum twice a day for 30 days, incorporating it into your regular skincare routine.
Immediately following your session, you will notice an instant glow as your stimulated skin beings to produce new collagen, elastin, and growth cells. You will experience redness and dry skin for one to three days, but these are typical post-treatment symptoms.
We recommend that patients undergo a minimum of three treatments at four-week intervals. However, you may continue ongoing treatments after your three-course ends, and we can also combine S.TEP by Universkin with other cosmetic treatments to improve general skin health.
